Impact

Turtle Rescue Club was created to make bring creativity, conservation and community together. We believe you do not need to be an expert to make a difference. Sometimes the first step is simply learning what to look for, how to help safely and understanding why small actions matter (and can add up to make a big difference!)

Since launching in April 2026, we have focused on elevating local wildlife initiatives, creating accessible educational materials and building low-barrier experiences that invite more people into conservation - especially conservation novices who care, but may not know where to begin.

What We’ve Helped Support

To date, Turtle Rescue Club proceeds and community efforts have helped contribute to:

$2,500 donated to the Wayzata Chamber of Commerce
This donation allowed us to reach audiences in the thousands for the 2026 Wayzata Art Experience, where we were able to distribute hundreds of free educational brochures on turtle conservation.

$2,000 donated to support local outdoor initiatives through the Star Tribune
Helping connect more people with Minnesota’s outdoor spaces, wildlife, and conservation stories.

$1,500 raised for endangered Blanding’s turtle radio trackers in Minnesota
Supporting local research and conservation efforts for one of Minnesota’s most vulnerable turtle species.

$500 raised for Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota
Supporting care for injured, sick, and orphaned wildlife across the state. 

2,000 free educational brochures printed and distributed
Created to help people understand simple, low-barrier ways to support turtles - from safe road crossings to habitat awareness and everyday conservation actions.

Conservation for the Conservation Novice

A major part of our mission is making wildlife education feel less intimidating. Many people want to help turtles and other local species, but they are not sure what is safe, useful, or actually needed.

Our goal is to close that gap by creating approachable tools, events, and materials that help people participate at whatever level they can — whether that means helping a turtle cross the road safely, learning to recognize nesting season, reporting a road mortality hotspot, or simply starting to notice the wildlife living alongside us.

Where Creativity Comes In

We believe creativity can be a powerful entry point into conservation. Through events, printed materials, art, merchandise, and community experiences, we use design and storytelling to make wildlife issues more visible, more emotionally resonant, and easier to engage with.

That has included community partnerships and local initiatives that bring together art, education, and conservation — including support for the Wayzata Chamber of Commerce and its role in creating spaces where local creativity, small businesses, and community connection can thrive.

We are here to help more people start seeing turtles - and to make conservation feel like something they can be part of.
