After moving to a house located at an intersection between two wetland areas and frequently seeing turtles struck by cars in her own neighborhood, founder and designer Kelly Olson created Turtle Rescue Club to build a culture of turtle conservation and empower people to notice and reduce turtle road mortality through small, accessible actions in their everyday lives.

Turtle Rescue Club products are designed to build community and raise awareness for simple, low-barrier acts that make a difference for turtles and the ecosystems they’re part of.

Each purchase comes with educational materials that introduce road ecology, validate the urgency of turtle conservation, and include a guide on how to safely handle turtles when they need a little assistance crossing the road.

Since launching in April 2026, we’ve raised over $6,550 to support local conservation efforts in Minnesota, along with additional funds to print and distribute 2,000 free educational guides featuring low-barrier ways to help turtles. We periodically donate to support turtle conservation efforts, and you can recommend a favorite organization or individual on our "Nominate" page!
